Pineapple Rosemary Shrub

  • A shrub is a sweetened vinegar-based syrup and is often infused with fruit juice, herbs and spices and used to enhance cocktails.
  • Acidity of the shrub makes it well suited as an apéritif or used as an alternative to bitters in cocktails. Vinegar-based drinks will remain clear when shaken.
  • Consume alone or with sparkling water. They can be paired with both iced tea or lemonade. Being acidic, they need to be carefully balanced with citrus juice. If you're adding juice or lemonade use a light hand, and taste as you're building your drink.
